I used 5.0 for years with great results but decided to update to 7.0 and did so with no problems I like the new version and made all the suggested changes that were suggested by Chiron to make CIS as safe as possible with fewer pop-ups. While looking around I came across in help,about, a place to import a virus data base. Is this a good idea? I think back in 2009 or 2010 I imported a virus database. I thought the current scans were done through the cloud. Thanks for your help.
Virus updates are done automatically. You need to import the virus db only if you haven’t an active internet connection.
Real time and on demand scans are done using both local db and cloud (if enabled in the on demand scan options)
