I’m running the latest release and everytime I check for an update or upon boot/startup, this file is updated with this info. Why?

CTM can not upgrade from 2.6 to 2.8, so update.ini is still 2.6, it is correct.

I don’t understand. I’m running 2.8 and was under the impression that 2.8 could upgrade to the next release.

I’m not asking to upgrade. I am already running the latest 2.8 version. People can’t upgrade to 2.8 and 2.8 can’t upgrade to future versions. I understand that. My question is, If I’m running version 2.8, why is there a reference to version 2.6 in the update.ini?
