Hi Guys. Since i downloaded the newest version of Cis i have seen a smaller than normal Cis shield icon appear in my tray informing me of updates being available. If i click on the icon, another box pops up asking if i want to install the updates. If i say yes, then the icon just disappears from my tray and no updates are installed?.
I have Cis 3.1379 and all is well apart from what i see as another bug. How do i stop this from re occuring guys?.

Have you tried removing CIS, running a system cleaner and then reinstalling CIS? Or have you tried using the updater from Main window > Miscellaneous tab > Check for Updates?
Hello AlphaRosea. I did click under Miscellaneous tab>Check for updates and it said there were not any, despite the shield popping up in my tray, and today it has happened again when i booted up.It always happens when i boot up. I suppose i will uninstall using Revo and then clean up with the usual apps and see what happens.

I’m eager to hear of how it turns out, dave. Though, if you have CIS version 3.13.x.579 the program updater shouldn’t be telling you there are updates. I just tried it and there’s no newer program version available (so it tells me).
Hello again AlphaRosea.Well, i uninstalled using Revo, and re installed a fresh version of 3.13X79.I was asked to reboot in order for antivirus updates to take effect and did so. I rebooted and the update pop up has gone to never land!. Seems there is a bug and this may be ( just a guess, though) related to when an update to version .79 was performed via the inbuilt updater rather than a fresh install. I never encountered this problem personally in previous versions. Thanks for the interest.

Wow, what a situation. You’re welcome, Dave. I’m glad I could help.
