I am hopiing someone can help me with this problem. Since installing the firewall and anti virus, I now get a box that says “Please wait while Windows configures scan.” This happens with every new browser window, and sometimes on the desktop when starting. If I cancel, I get an error 1706 that says “No valid source could be found for product scan.” If I let it scan it tells me that I need to insert a disk because Windows Installer could not find the file.
In addition to this annoyance, many times the browser freezes and this did not happen very often before downloading the anti virus and firewall.
I need step by step instructions.
I tried dial a fix, ■■■■ cleaner, spybot, and registry wise. No luck.
Previously I used AVG free and did not have these problems, but I read that Comodo was much better.
If I can’t resolve these issues I’ll have to uninstall and go back.
