Uninstall CIS error

Hi all,

Recently I’ve been having some PC issues which I think I’ve nailed it down to CIS as being the cause, so I need to uninstall CIS and reinstall to see if it solves the problem, but trying to unistall CIS produces an error,

“Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\software\Comodo\Firewall Pro\Configurations. Verify the you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.”

Opening Regedit and checking the key I’ve found that the subkeys have no Ownership.

I’ve also tried using the Uninstaller Tool but that doesn’t solve the problem, I can’t reinstall CIS over the top as the installation fails too.

Anyone got any solutions or ideas?

TIA

Hi and welcome malleybo,
Try using the unofficial Uninstaller in windows safe mode.

Also make certain Comodo drivers are removed before attempting reinstall.
In windows device manager, view Show Hidden Devices and look under Non-Plug and Play Drivers.
Comodo Internet Security Firewall Driver.
Comodo Internet Security Helper Driver.
