Undoing Option?

I have COMODO Firewall Pro 3.0.15.277 on my PC. It sprang up an Alert on 23 1 08 about something called System trying access my PC. I was unsure of what to do. I ticked the Block This Request option. Afterwards I regretted doing it. I assume System is Microsoft trying to contact my PC to tell me there are updates for Windows XP Pro (my OS). Is it possible to undo what I have done and let this thing called System access my PC, please?

Thanks in advance.

Go to firewall/advanced/network security policies. Find the entry for “System” and delete it or allow it outgoing TCP/UDP… This is how CFP lumps together some of the Windows stuff, like smss.exe the session manager.

Hi

I have followed your instructions and changed the Action to Allow. I was not sure about the TCP. I will have to see how I go with what I have done. Thanks for the instructions.

Hi

I have read your reply again today and noticed that I could delete System. I have done this. Will I have caused any problems, please?

Thanks in advance.

Next time you will receive new alert for “system” and would be able to add it to network policy. So no problems at all
