Unable to update Boclean 4.25

The last time I was able to update my BoClean was Mar. 31, 2008. After that I got an error message saying “ERROR, not connected, please check firewall.” This is Windows XP, with the XP firewall on, but unchanged from previous months. I uninstalled BoClean and downloaded and installed the latest version. I still get the same error message, but now I am protected to 11/26/07! I am connected to the Internet, else how could I get my email and write to you for help. What to do? I feel very nervous being connected to the Internet without BoClean there to fend off intruders, since it occasionally really catches something smelly. Thanks for helping!

We’re looking into what may have been a host DNS issue, I’ll let you know if I hear anything conclusive.

Get the same problem here “you are not connected”

No update on the FTP so you didn’t miss anything.
boc425.xvu_2008-03-31_14.46.42 is the last update.
The alleged DNS problem was due to a mis transposed IP that was posted in another forum.

Same not connected messages for me too. For manual as well as auto update.

Something is definitely wrong and it is likely a bigger deal than just “DNS.”
TPCM might be having “issues.”

No automatic updates since 31mar2k8.

No manual updates possible, because manual update can’t find momma.

ftp is not able to connect to server, using DNS name or IP address.

It’s not my `puter, routers or ISP fault.

Traceroute (via network-tools.com) fails as follows:

Updated perfectly on 4-2-2008 at 7:04 AM CST. Last update 2008-04-01 :-TU

After I turned on my computer this morning, BoClean updated itself to 4/1/08. I then tried to manually update it, but it said it already had the latest update. However, two days ago is a lot better than last November! Thanks to Kevin and all at Comodo who are working on this.

Still unable to update here at 10:20 AM. Same error message as before.

Hi,

My updater is back to normal, I am in Europe if it makes any difference, but I wouldn’t think so.

Updated about 3 hours ago.

I just received a 75 new nasties message and was able to manually update BoClean to 2008 04 02 17:36:30. Thank you so very much. It appears to be working now.

Sorry, folks … we needed to add MORE FTP servers owing to the HUGE number of folks now using BOClean, and sadly the propagation of the NEW addresses for BOClean failed to go as quickly as the “intarwebs” USED to update to pointing to our new servers. MY apologies, alas Al Gore no longer runs the intarwebs.
