Hey guys,
I’m using windows 7 Prof. (x64) and I’m trying to set up a VPN connection to my college.
It doesn’t really work though.
As I’m using a Dualboot System (Kubuntu + Win 7) and it’s working with Kubuntu, I’m obviously facing a probleme with my Windows Software. I tried to uninstall Comodo and after doing so, the VPN connection worked perfectly fine.
What I’ve done so far / general informations:
Comodo Internet Security 6.3.294583.2937
Global Rules:
Description: Imperial College VPN TCP
Action: Allow
Protocol: TCP
Direction: In
Source Address: IPv4 address range of VPN
Destination Address: Any
Source Port: Any
Destination Port: 1723
Description: Imperial College VPN GRE
Action: Allow
Protocol: IP
Direction: Out
Source Address: Any
Destination Address: IPv4 address range of VPN
IP Protocol: GRE
Application Rules:
Name: System
Allow IP Out From MAC Any To MAC Any Where Protocol is 47
Allow TCP In From MAC Any To MAC Any Where Source Port is Any And Destination Port is any
Name: svchost
Allow every in- and outcoming requests
I’ve read several threads about the problem, but I none of the solutions worked.
Typical error:
Either:
VPN doesn’t connect, error 619: can’t connect to remote computer
Or:
VPN connects, disconnects after a short time, attempt to reconnect = error 619 again
It would be really awesome, if anybody could help me!
Thanks in advance and kind regards
Christian
