Eventhought an application is listed as “Trusted” comodo firewall blocks the aplication somehow, one exaple is : i set DC++ as trusted application and eventhought it conects to the internet i can’t download anythink from there becouse my firewall blocks some conections… same happens to a game “Warcraft 3” that eventhought i list it as trusted other players can’t connect to me…i also checked the option “Create rules for trusted applications” but it didnt help either, what i can do to have an application have full acces to the internet? Cause in CIS 3.X i didnt have any problems,
Can you show me a screenshot of your Global Rules? They are under Firewall → Advanced → Network Security Policy.
Here it is :

You need to configure CIS to open the required port(s) DC++ needs. Read the following tutorial I made. Substitute the port number and protocol for your situation.
To open the port TCP 1723 for example
First step is to determine the MAC or Physical address of you network connector. Go to Start → Run → cmd → enter → a black box will show up and enter the following → ipconfig /all (notice the space before /all) → enter → now look up the Physical address and write it down.
Notice that Physical address = MAC address
Firewall → Advanced → Network Security policy → Global Rules → Add → fill in the following:
Action: Allow
Protocol: TCP
Direction: In
Description: Incoming Port
Source address: Any
Destination Address: Choose MAC address and fill in the found MAC/Physical address
Source Port: Any
Destination Port: 1723
Then push Apply → Now make sure that the new rule is somewhere above the basic block rule(s) as the bottom (the block rules have red icons); you can drag and drop the rules → Ok.
I made it work but it worked after i insert my normal IP to Destination Address and not the MAC/Physical address. They should make CIS 4.X work like 3.X version, it’s better for most users that the Firewall open ports automaticaly for trusted applications like the previus version!
The default Global Rules changed with 4.0 to default stealth. Click the second url in my signature for a short explanation.
