Traffic status in Widget setting broken

1: CIS version:
7.0.313494.4115

2: OS version:
Windows 8.1 64bit (fully updated)

3: What you did:
Disable (remove checkmark) “Turn traffic animation effects on” under Firewall settings

4: What you actually saw:
Download/upload traffic status disappears from the Widget.

5: What you expected to happen or see:
Widget shouldn’t be affected by the above setting within Firewall settings). Widget should have it’s own setting to enable or disable traffic status by right clicking it (like it has for all other elements) and shouldn’t be affected by main firewall settings at all.

6: If possible attach a screenshot illustrating the GUI problem

This is very likely intended behavior. I assume it probably uses the same underlying process to do both. Thus, disabling it would remove it from the widget as well. You’ll notice that the option to even show the Traffic Pane is intentionally removed if the traffic animation effects are removed. Thus, this does seem like intentional programming, and not a bug. I will therefore move this to Resolved.

However, this is certainly an issue which affects users. Thus, the best place for considering this is the Wish Board. Please create a new Wish Request for the widget having its own settings to enable or disable the traffic status.

Thank you.

Great, now you’re deciding what’s resolved for the devs. Seriously!? Who are you to decide what’s by design and what’s a bug? And even if it’s by design, it’s stupid. What if i don’t want the trey animation, but i want the info in widget? I just can’t have that. The whole reason why i posted this in the first place. But you just nonchalantly decided it’s not an issue/resolved by yourself and moved it. Geez… you always find a way to ■■■■ me off don’t you?

I agreed that although it seems to be by design it is undesirable. That is why I would like to see a Wish Request created for it. That way I can forward it to them through the proper channel.
