ToniArts EasyCleaner (& other Cleaners)

And the slower the cpu, the more noticable is the performance improvement.

I definitely agree that RegSeeker is powerful. Your memory LeoniAquila, is probably spot on. That has been observerved by others as well… I like RegSeeker and unusually stick to the “greenies,” when using it but as long as you do the backup and know where they are located (as well as the saved name)… it is still prudent to stick to the greenies and use the ignore list that is available for it. The RegSeeker Ignore List is available at the CrapCleaner forum If I remember correctly.

OK, here’s the deal, I do not suggest anyone use any registry cleaner unless they can back out of any fixes that they have applied! I personally rip the heck out of the registry. It’s fun to me because I know that my computer will be back to “normal” after a reboot if I want. Normal is a relative term. It could mean before any changes were made or at at any period of time of my choosing.

Imaging is a must and Snapshot type programs are a luxury. Both, in combination, make one invincible. This is another topic but is still most relevant when playing with fire.

Above all, have a good day

The registry is a minefield. I hate the way applications write data where ever they will. It’s one of the reasons I’ve set about finding applications that don’t use installers and don’t write their config data to the registry.

I’m pretty much there with most things…

grampa,

I just noticed that there is not a link to the program you mentioned. You may want to add it to your original post. http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm

Just downloaded and run and wonder of wonders rebooted fine. This looks like not a bad tool. Run ccleaner didn’t find much because used a couple of nights ago. Run Regseeker straight after, it found quite a few entries from deleted progs that ccleaner never found

Just so everyone knows,

RegSeeker has never had a NON-Beta Release!!!

:o

No one has linked to RegSeeker either!

RegSeeker frozed my computer in three of the options, one being Installed Programs. It uses 100% cpu usage every time I select it.

Grampa, I hope you don’t mind us intruding your thread on EasyCleaner. You can modify the title or lock this thread if want 88).

I think it’s wonderful how this thread is developping. I’m learning a lot, getting to know many programmes (including test results ;D) so I say: “Pray, do go on!”
If I ever have the courage I’ll use these progs as well.
For the time being I’ll stay an interested reader of what you are writing.
Cheers,
grampa.

Well I just checked and in one of the last few releases RegSeeker seems to have come out of beta! When did that happen?

Sorry for the misinformation.
