i am going to have to go back on a previous post i put up some time this summer. i did have a fairly good rationale for seeing adblocking as redundant if one was using a good browser like Firefox that was properly extensioned, but one of my associates noticed our bandwidth was still being consumed by ads even when no browser was opened at all.
doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you still haven’t modernized to a linux environment, then there are programs that call on internet explorer to render ads with their software.
well, those ads have to go. one way. or. the. other.
