I dont understand the need. CAV runs on Windows and the Windows file system is not case sensitive. Why do you need to see capital letters?
It just makes sense.
For the sake of neatness, yes there is an argument to be made.
If this were running on a case sensitive O/S, yes it would be mandated.
Since Windows sees “filename.xyz” as being the same thing as “FiLeNaMe.XyZ”, imagine how much overhead would have to be introduced into the application if it had to compare the simple filename with the “actual” case sensitive name and adjust on the fly accordingly, all while scanning thousands of files.
Speed or grammatical correctness?
Give me speed any day (but not at the sake of detection accuracy).
