Telemetry Task in Task Scheduler - With send User Statistics disabled

V12.2.2.8012 (Firewall only) Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (clean install with all MS-updates)

I have this: “COMODO Telemetry {aaaaaaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd-eeeeeeeeeeee}” task listed in Windows Task Scheduler with a trigger set at install date AND a trigger at every user log on.
I have “Send anonymous program usage statistic to COMODO” setting disabled (unticked).

Comodo what is this???
Why still collecting Telemetry data when the user explicitly does not want that???

When this has been queried previously, the answer was that nothing is sent. The Task checks the user setting then exits if the setting is unchecked: https://forums.comodo.com/waiting-area-please-cast-your-votes-cis/comodo-telemetry-task-t120918.0.html;msg868345#msg868345

Ok, thanks for pointing to that thread.

The Telemetry Task enabled/disabled state should be directly linked to the “Send anonymous program usage statistic to COMODO” setting in the GUI.

“Send anonymous program usage statistic to COMODO” setting off → Telemetry task disabled
“Send anonymous program usage statistic to COMODO” setting on → Telemetry task enabled

That way it is clear for everyone and removes the confusion about this Telemetry Task.
Simple.
