Siince its last update the CFW icon does not show in the taskbar unless I click on Comodo in the list of programs in the start menu.
Then every time I log on I have to do the same again in order to show the icon in the taskbar
Could be that the registry entry for starting cis is missing. You should have an entry in HKLM\Software\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. If it is missing, and you feel comfortable with editing the registry, simply add the following entry
COMODO Internet Security C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\cfp.exe\ -h
Alternatively, you could re-install CIS.
Editing the registry can be risky.
