System slow down

Hello all,

I have been using Comodo Firewall, for about a month now. I have noticed on occasion, but now becoming more frequent. My system tends to slow down to a crawl, and even after rebooting its still the same, I usually have to wait it out or reboot a couple times.

Tonight i checked to see whats going on. I have Vista SP1, in the resource monitor it showed, that some file, i forget the full extension, but it had comodo & pending list in it, was writing about 80,000,000 B/min. I looked at the CPU and cmdagent was taking up around 89 CPU. I just looked at my pending list and dont see anything there.
Dont know if there is anything i can do. If any one has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. I dont know all the ins and outs of comodo, so i might need some help. Thank you.

Switch D+ to safe mode so you don’t have pending files. See if there is anything being blocked by D+ when you look at your logs.

I had a similar problem. Starting a program took less than half a second before I installed CFP, and at least five seconds afterwards. Sometimes, starting a simple program like cmd took more than 20 seconds.

I didn’t enable any settings that could use a lot of system resources (according to CFP’s on-screen text or the separate PDF User’s Manual).

This slowness, the fact that CFP brought my system into an endless BSOD - restart loop, and the fact that it was impossible to uninstall CFP, brought me back to Windows Firewall.

Thanks for the replies.

I dont see anything blocked in the logs. I will try the safe mode and see if anything changes.

Sorry to hear about the problems you have…I’m not quite ready to give up and go back to windows firewall.

I’m still open to any more suggestions
