System Backup

Just installed CB as I am a user of Comodo Internet security and that has served me well.

I get the dreaded “No viable destination partitions found for the selected item.” message when attempting a system backup.

I am trying to back-up to a NAS drive on my LAN. My computer can see the drive, I can access the drive from explorer. I have tried rebooting the system.

My system is XP SP3
My NAS is a Buffalo unit
I have tried making the default destination the mapped drive ie z:\Main PC
and tried \networkname\partition\Main PC

Neither work however a normal documents backup does work.

Hi

Do you have UAC on?
If yes, then map the network location with a drive letter using cmd.exe.
You must run cmd.exe as administrator:

net use X: \networkname\partition password /user:userName

Replace the red words above with the proper ones. Password is optional.
This will make the network location visible in CB as a destination in ‘My Computer’.

Thanks
