Sync Mode causes "System Error. Code 1. Incorrect function."

I’m trying to create a job in sync mode, syncing a folder on a network server to a USB drive on my PC. When I try to save the job, I get the error “System Error. Code: 1. Incorrect Function”. Can Comodo backup not sync folders when one of them is a network folder? I have also tried using UNC paths for the folders, with no success.

Tom

What version of Comodo Backup are you running?

Is the Windows Task Scheduler service running?

I’m using the current version, downloaded yesterday. I’m not running the Task Scheduler. I’ve tried sync mode on two different PCs with the same result. Regular mode works fine. Trying to sync a folder on a Netware 6.5 volume with external USB on PC. Neither drive mapping nor UNC path works.

Tom

The latest version uses the Windows Task Scheduler service. Can you please start this service and try again?

I’m doing pretty much exactly what you’re doing every day - NW6.5 volume sync’ing to ext. USB HDD in 10 minute increments for our auditing. No problems here, but I do have to use UNC naming.

P.S. Out of left field, how long is your UNC name?
