Sychost.exe [Resolved]

Why does this pop-up ‘Sychost.exe’ keep coming up??
is it alright to ‘allow’???

Greetings!

I suppose the real name is svchost.exe? If so, then it’s safe to allow (if it’s located in \Windows\system32). svchost.exe is used for stuff like obtaining/updating your IP-adress, DNS, time synchronization and Windows Update.
If the name is sychost.exe, it’s most likely a malware. Find it in task manager, terminate it and upload it to VirusTotal.

Is there somewhere I can look to see if it was a Y or V??

OK found it, is is ‘V’

so thats allright then???

Yes, then it’s okay. You can safely allow it to access the Internet. svchost.exe is a part of Windows.
