svhost rediculous amount of connections?

Hello comodo community,

Not sure where to post this but i geuss this will do.
I installed Comodo free firewall for the first time tonight after Zonealarm giving me way to much issues.
But so far i’ve ran into an issue wich i can’t solve myself.
SVhost.exe keeps trying to accept a connection from other ips or it’s constantly listining to ips on UDP port: 52638 / 59561.
I have no idea why it keeps doing that, nor do these 2 ports have any known service assigned to them.
Also checked my router and found nothing that would even hint at the usage of those two ports.

Over the course of last night while my PC was scanning (avast) the home network svhost has tried 25700 times to connect to random ips, sometimes multiple times all on the same or different ones it varies.
I have also nmaped some of these ips, some are located in the US and even Asia.
(I am from The Netherlands)
I included the firewall events in the attachments as a txt file.

My system specs:
Win7 Ultimate edition
12gb domi ram
i7 930D0
590gtx
Sys disk 2x 300GB raid raptorx
File disks 5x 2TB WD green.

After a 12hr scan avast found:

Process 4060 [teatimer.exe] memoryblock 0x0000000000860000, block size 1310720 - Severity: High - Theat: JS:ScriptSH-inf[Trj]
Process 4060 [teatimer.exe] memoryblock 0x00000000031B0000, block size 1310720 - Severity: High - Theat: JS:ScriptSH-inf[Trj]
Process 4060 [teatimer.exe] memoryblock 0x0000000006130000, block size 1310720 - Severity: High -
Theat: JS:ScriptSH-inf[Trj]

I don’t know why it would flag teatimer as a trojan, it’s the resident shield for Spybot S&D.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware found nothing.

Any advice would be much appreciated. ???

At a guess I’d say it’s the iphlpsvc service, which is used by Windows 7 to support tunnelled IPv6 connections, in your case, probably those related to uTorrent. Take a look at svchost.exe using 90+% Traffic constantly? or svchost.exe port 57398: What’s going on here?

Thank you for those links i have read through them and learned something new (e.g PID’s).
I was not using any program when the svhost.exe process was acting up. (qutorrent or any other p2p program)
For some reason eventually my internet crapped out and my router was trying to refresh my ip constantly.
I had to reset my cable modem, after this was done svhost stopped trying to receive the constant outside connections.
So far i’m still clueless as to what may have caused it to spike that abruptly though for now the problem seems to have stopped.

Thanks for your help.

Even after you disconnect from a swarm, for example by shutting down your p2p client, connections will still persist. However, as soon as you change your IP address, you terminate the endpoint and the connections will cease.

If the number of connections forced you to reset your hardware, you should take a look at the QOS settings.

If you want to post some more details, such as the services associated with the instance of svchost involved, the port number of your p2p client and the output from an ipconfig /all.
