svchost.exe and explorer.exe

Date/Time :2007-11-22 14:37:11
Severity :High
Reporter :Application Behavior Analysis
Description: Suspicious Behaviour (googletalk.exe)
Application: C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe
Parent: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe
Protocol: UDP Out
Destination: 192.168.1.1::dns(53)
Details: C:\Program Files\Xfire\xfire.exe has loaded C:\Program Files\Xfire\xfire_toucan_28504.dll into C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe using a global hook which could be used by keyloggers to steal private information.

I have two computers networked together via a hardware firewall. This log is from the computer sending the data to 192.168.1.1, the computer at 192.168.1.1 comodo logs show that this is hitting it about 30-40 times a day. So I was curious to what this is. I have only noticed it recently and am wondering if i should be concerned.

Welcome to the forums gonegaming12.

If I’m not mistaken, Xfire is a chat client and googletalk is a chat client? Are you using Xfire to access googletalk?
