Suggestions for future version(s) AIO

I got it. I think that first have to be is adding ability for importing address
list in specific text format(that we know). Then it’s possible to import
anything. I think that lists you provided are custom. Or just many users may need
many types of lists. Maybe they’re similar, but still there are some
differences. I just think that maybe some plugin should do this. Not Comodo
itself. But I’ll be glad if it will ever ;). Just if there’ll be done import
thing, then it’s IMHO easy to write some small utility, script or whatever to
converse formats and also to automatic download from internet. I don’t see any
big problem in conversion. But also from developer’s point of view also in
import from pure text format ;).

Not sure this could be considered an improvement suggestion, but I would like to see CIS UI (the window user interface) to assimilate the system’s own UI, rather than use an “outside” UI. I hope you guys understand what I mean, 'cos I can’t find other words to say it. :slight_smile:

Is just that is odd to see all other apps assimilating the system’s UI and CFP/CIS not. I don’t know if already suggested this before in any other thread, but never came across such, so if it is then, well, sorry for the double request.

Best regards

Just a few:

  1. A nicer interface for the CAV portion (something like v2.0 Beta).
  2. The ability to disable CAV from the tray icon (similar to disabling CFP).
  3. Possibly an “X” through the tray icon when either CFP or CAV is disabled (as a reminder).
  4. When disabling either CFP or CAV, the ability to choose the amount of time it’s disabled (similar to Norton, where you can choose intervals before it automatically re-enables - 15min., 30min., 1hr., until reboot, etc.) This way, if you do forget to re-enable, CIS will only be disabled for the time you choose.

Great suggestions, indeed!!

Best regards

I have asked this question ion another post and it is possible the information is available but I have been unable to find it. It would be nice if the AV signature file was dated as well as numbered. It would also be nice if COMODO would publish it current AV signature number and date on their web site so we could verify that our Comodo CIS was fully updated and working with the latest version. Thanks for a great program. Best regards Jim

Yep, I agree. Virus database number and date in the summary screen would be helpful.
Take a look at this post (1st attached picture), where this request was incorporated into some GUI suggestions.

Again, have a look at this post (3rd picture), where these requests were incorporated into some GUI suggestions.

Whoop

I missed that thread. Nice work! That’s just what I was looking for! I hope the developers take you up on your suggestions. A timer option would still be a nice addition in case you for get to turn something back on. Norton has this and it has saved me a few times over.

Not sure if I got it :). But do u mean to be able to set theme to OS’s style?
Or add some new styles like “new” O&O defrag and other softwares does. Just use
new Windows styles?

re 1. 1=1 :slight_smile:
re 2. => 1.3
re 3. IMHO it’s 1.1
re 4. => 15.1

Thank you for suggestions.

=> 16.1

Thank you for suggestions.

I would also like to see predefined rules for download managers. Why? Well, no reason to add them as trusted; they aren’t browsers, either, so, why not? :slight_smile:

Polish up the drivers please. There’s a whole range of full system lockups where not even the mouse responds that can’t be reported with crash dumps or event logs. We the users have no way of debugging those. It’s up to you.

My only wish is Win 2003/2008 support. Because you dropped support in CPF3.0 (:SAD), I’m still on CPF 2.4.

Hi Bajker, hate to disappoint you, but Win2003 support is discontinued by Comodo for CIS, time maybe to upgrade your system and OS probably and you’ll more than likely be glad that you did in the long run

I’ve been looking for this thread, but couldn’t find it! Now, I did, thanks to jakesp! :slight_smile:

I thought it was gone.

It should be set as a sticky one! :smiley:

Anyway, I’ll post here a link to one other thread under the AV wishlist board - https://forums.comodo.com/anti_virus_wishlist/snort_detection_signatures-t32462.0.html

Don’t mind the 1% vote against such feature. I voted my own thread and when I did it, it went 50% to each! :smiley:

I think whishlist will be more appropriate… But Developers do read these threads.

Cheers,
Josh

I do agree on a fact that “The Customer is always right” And Comodo always takes this into considerations, and user suggestions. It’s just a matter of time and patience, Coding isn’t an easy thing, And off course Comodo has taken people’s suggestions - But you can’t expect to get Comodo to “code” all suggestions into CIS mentioned.

Something that is happening right now, is usability - Huge request, and it’s happening right now, in the next release and ANOTHER usability milestone will happen in CIS 4.0… Everything is taken into consideration, It’s just time, patience and thinking, which is a critical part of any kind of code development of a product.

Cheers,
Josh
