Still no password protection for firewall

Hi developers and mods!

Can anyone tell me why the latest rc2 beta still doesn’t offer password protection for unauthorised local access and for disabling/unistalling Comodo?

This IS a security concern - as Egemen said:

“Someone can write a visual basic script which sends simulated mouse clicks to the GUI and shutdown the protection as if you do it manually. Password protection would help in this case unless you have a defense against such sort of things.”

Great question red, really great question! And one that has been asked, repeatedly for the past 11 months. It is on their books to add, I just wish it wasn’t so far down their list!

I think it is slated for introduction in version 3, due at some point in '07. I don’t have any definitive info, just a gut feeling.

I just wish it would hurry up and get here!

A wish for the next Christmas maybe… ;D

Hey all,

Password protection for the CFP UI will definitely be introduced in CFP V3. It may appear earlier as an update to V2.4 or V2.5, but it will happen.
