ok first i wanna thank you all(comodo team) as for such a good quality free firewall as i always wanted one but i uninstalled my fav firewall(that ive been using for more than 2 years)and installed comodo and after 5 minute i reinstalled my fav one.
reason and only reason:
-i couldnt create more than one rule for one application.meaning forexample that i want my webbrowser to access all ips on port 80 and one specific ip on 8443 and i cant have that.
one more missing thats not that imporant for me:
-comodo doesnt have preset rules for applications.like webbrowsers.
thanks again for this software and i wish for the day that i can switch to this firewall
I asked about that too. I wanted to have some very specific rules that I could go back and check and validate to make sure my programs go to the proper IP addresses for Anti-virus and spyware blocker updates. It can make a whole bunch of rules for a program but you have to go to Security, Miscellaneous, click on the Configure button and make the Alert Frequency go all the way up when you run a new program. Get it to have all of those IP addresses it uses for all of its stuff and then drop the Alert Frequency Level back down after you’re sure it’s configured right for all it’s going to do. Problem is after all of that there are a lot of rules. I think it makes the Application Monitor section too big and confusing with all of those rules too. I made a suggestion for each program to have it’s own Rules section you double click on to get to and then be able to set up rules similar to the Network Monitor.
