[SOLVED] I cannot install Comodo Secure Shopping

I cannot install Comodo Secure Shopping. I always get the error message 2753.

I am using Windows 10 64bit Version 1709 (Build 16299.19) and the latest installer from 07.11.2017.

Rosi

The same with: Comodo Internet Security v10.0.2.6406 - RC

Try running the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter and see if secure shopping is listed in programs & features, if it is uninstall it. Also delete all secure shopping references from ProgramData folder and if it exists in Program Files(x86) directory.

Doesn’t work.

I searched the install.log and found the following entries:

I have attached the complete install.log. Are there any specific Resistry keys that I can delete?

Kurt

Uninstall CIS and reboot, then run this removal tool via run as administrator context-menu, choose option to remove CIS, reboot when finishes. Then after reboot, open the registry and remove the following keys if they exist:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ComodoGroup\CIS
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ComodoGroup\CSS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComodoGroup\CSS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\COMODO\CIS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\COMODO\CSS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ComodoGroup\CSS

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\cmdcss
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\csssrv

Then reboot after removing above keys, then try again.

I’m afraid that didn’t help me.

In the install. log of css (MSIxxxxxx. LOG) I found out that the key “0B9FD51D89A3FEB47B5DCFA3AE346055” was searched for. I deleted all entries with this key and then restarted the computer.

Now I could install CSS.
