Can you post screenshots of the D+ alerts that you are receiving or a screenshot of the logs ( View Defense + Events)?

Did you upload the files to Virus Total to see what other scanners think of the two files? Please leave the url’s to the result pages here.

I quick Google search tells me that they are related to the gaming world and that they are a proponent of using p2p technologies for updates in games and other applications.

It may have come installed with a game or other application you recently installed. Does it show up in the list of installed software in Control Panel?

  • Not that I know of :frowning:

The publisher is on the Trusted Software Vendor list.

Do you have one or more MMOG games on your system? Did it recently get updated?

Can you check the following pages to see if they refer to anything you know you have on your system:

I just came-across this “Solid State Networks” entry myself (same except for chars following “Host.”). I used CIS to scan these dlls and they were deemed OK.

This on a brand-spanking-new PC I just built, with OEM W7HP OS, and as I look at the timeline for the SSN directory creation it appears to me that it was most likely installed with Adobe Flash Player when I was getting Firefox browser tweaked.

So I’m not worried about it myself but Eljo if you really wanna know you can try un-installing Adobe Flash and see if it goes away (and if it does by all means report-back here!).

This same entry for “Solid State Networks” came up during my updating of Adobe Flash via the install file install_reader10_en_mssd_aih.exe which was from the adobe site as directed by the Firefox 6.02 plug-ins update funtion. Is it possible that Adobe embedds this into their installer ?
