software problems

CIS Defence + blocks HP Precision Scan 3.1, when I start this software XPSP3 reports error, when I disable Defence + scann software works !!, problems with netscreen vpn still exist, also problems with MS outlook.

What alert do you get? Can you post a screenshot of the alert?

this is standard XP error report when it wants to send something to Microsoft.

You are posting three different problems in one topic.

Let’s start with the HP Scan program. Can you post a screenshot of the D+ logs? They can be found under Defense + → Common Tasks → View Defense + Events?

May be you can start two separate help topics in the Firewall Help CIS board for the problems with Netscreen VPN and Office. That prevent confusion and diversion.

I also had problems which were solved after i: i guess i’ve disabled sandbox, used stealth port wizard (2nd option) and checked all options at defense+ regarding access rights. I used Irfanview’s scan (available via the File menu) which then opens HP’s software.

  1. this with HP Precision Scan 3.1 is still the problem. ??
