Slow/Unresponsive LAN Connection

I have installed Comodo CIS (but only the firewall app) onto my work laptop. Since I have done this, my access to internal LAN resources (shared drives, printers, etc) is either pathetically slow or not working at all (due to timing out maybe?). I can’t figure out how to configure the firewall to get this stuff back to normal…

Configuration: When I boot my computer, I connect to a wireless network with no encryption. At this point, I have absolutely no access to anything. I then fire up SonicWall VPN Client and login to the gateway. Now I have access to everything.

Any help or suggestions that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
