Slow shut down

After installing version 3 my system shuts down very long. It takes about 2 minutes. When I click Start and shut down nothig happens for about 2 minutes and then the system shuts down.

“Automatically perform an online lookup for the unrecognized files” in “Miscellaneous ->Settings ->Update” is disabled but the problem remains

It is probably worth you trying the User Profile Hive Cleanup Service from Microsoft. There have been many reports of users finding this useful in resolving slow shutdown issues.

I’ve just tried this solution, but I still have the same problem.
In any case thank you very much for the advice.

My guess would be that some program has made a request that was disallowed or a blocked internet connection attempt. If it is still waiting for a reply, that could account for the delay in shutdown. The next time you shut down, try Ctrl+Alt+Delete and see if there are any items on the Applications tab that are odd. Not all processes show up on the Applications tab, so that might not reveal the problem. You might also check the Firewall Events and the Defense+ Events to see if there are any blocked items that might account for a waiting process.
