Skype has stopped working

After I installed Comodo Internet Security Skype would not load and gave the message “Skype has stopped working”. I am running under Windows 7. I finally tried setting it to run under Windows XP Service Pack 3 and magically it started to work again.

While I am happy it is working I am puzzled why I had to do this post Comodo install to get it to work again and I am concerned that it is not operating as efficiently as it was before.

Any insights into why this is and how I can get Skype to work outside of this compatibility mode?
