I have a PC and a laptop connected to a router/adsl modem and share some folders on the PC to access via the laptop. Until now I have used Zonealarm and have set up a range of IP addresses on the PC Zonealarm setup to allow the laptop access. Now trying out Comodo on the PC and can’t figure out how/where to set this up. Have tried “My Network Zones” - Add a new address - a range of IP address.
There is obviously something fundamental I am missing.

You need to make your local network zone a trusted zone. Assuming you have already defined your local network zone go to Firewall → Common Tasks → Stealth Ports Wizard → choose Define a new Trusted Network and stealth my ports to everyone else → Next → choose I would like to trust an existing My Network Zone → choose you local network zone form the drop down box at the bottom → Fnish.
Now you are ready. Check the Global Rules and see rules added for your local network.
