How do i set up the anti virus scanner to scan from a download manager or winrar? is there special parameters?
Hello, If I remember correctly you must tell CIS to scan archives - Comodo → antivirus → Settings.
Is there any security gain? No. It just sucks up resources to unpack the file, scan it. It would be scanned when you extract it anyway. My suggestion is turn archive scanning on within On-demand scans but not on acess\Real time.
You are safe with archive scanning disabled.
As for websheilds…There is no benifit having an webshield if CIS scanner catches it anyway without one.
