Setting removable media content as trusted, permanently?

Hey people

The problem I have is that everytime I disconnect and reconnect removable storage (Sandisk Cruzer USB Stick for example), Defense+ forgets permissions for executable files and other such files. I imagine this is done on purpose as I can see why remembering these permissions is a potential security hole, however I would like to know if there’s a way to disable this protection for a peripherals with storage capability anyway.

It’s a great annoyance as the aforementioned USB stick has autorunning software on which prompts for a password for access the device’s storage on insertion, and I have to click “treat as [trusted application]” twice for two separate defense+ popups everytime. :frowning:

Thanks for any input :-TU

There is currently no way to permanently trust removable media as it is considered insecure.

The upcoming version 4.0 may add this functionality, but I doubt it.

That’s a real shame :-\

Thanks for the reply though
