Separate firewalls for two NICs

I have a computer with 2 NICs. One (call it “A”) is connected to the university’s network and the internet. The other (call it “B”) is connected to a scientific instrument. I want a robust firewall on “A”, and no firewall at all on connection “B”. Is there anything I need to do special to treat the two NICs differently? (“A” is set up to get an IP address automatically; “B” has a static IP address.)

You can setup trusted zones using the IP range from your trusted network. CIS cannot be configured per NIC.
