Security log in Windows Event Viewer

I do not use the computer very much but Windows Security Log in Windows Event Viewer logged 984 events in 2 days. Every time I try to access the Limited Account, a pop-up appears saying “The security log on this system is full. Only Administrators can log on to fix the problem”. This has been happening since installing Firewall 5.

How can this problem be solved without clearing the Windows log each time I try to access the Limited Account?

Quoted from 1104(S) The security log is now full. (Windows 10) | Microsoft Learn on 14 Nov 2010; 8:20 PM

To resolve this issue, use an account that is a member of the Administrators group to log on to the computer. Then, follow these steps to specify that Security log events can be overwritten:
  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Event Viewer.
  2. Right-click Security, and then click Properties.
  3. In the Log Size area of the Security Properties window, click the Overwrite events as needed option under When maximum log size is reached.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Close Event Viewer.

Thanks for the referenced article. I made the change. It mentions “if you log on to the computer remotely”. I didn’t think that a Limited account on the same computer is considered “remotely”.

There is another post on the same topic which says that the developers are looking into this. The new V5 is logging too many Security events.

Thanks you
