SearchProtocolHost.exe not recognized

Comodo Defense keeps popping up with the following message

"SearchProtocolHost.exe could not be recognized and requests unlimited access to your computer

The publisher of SearchProtocolHost.exe has NOT digitally signed their application. Hence the origin of this application should not be trusted. Digital Signing helps with verifying the authenticity of applications. If you are unsure, we strongly recommend you press the “Sandbox” button."

The internet seems to indicate that SearchProtocolHost.exe is part of Windows search, and is ok as long as it comes from the system32 directory (probably). So, I keep checking “Remember this Answer” and clicking “Ok”. However, the same warning window keeps popping up, regardless, every few minutes. I have Comodo Defense in training mode currently, btw.

Any thoughts? Is SearchProtocolHost.exe probably indeed safe? And if so, how do I stop the pop-ups? Or is it malware, and I should take their warnings seriously?

thanks!

What happens when you use Def+ in a “Safe mode”? What system are you using?

I think it’s safe it’s just a conflict of some sort. I don’t think it’s a malware. But scan PC and let me know if you find anything.
