Using ver. 38.05. Since upgrading the search box is not working as before.
Currently, the search suggestions appear, but if you click on any suggestion, the suggestion is ignored and only the letters/words that was typed in the Search box is used for the search.
E.g. - if I type “micro” in the search box, a number of words or phrases will appear as suggestions, but if I click on “micronesia” (from the list), the search uses “Micro” and ignores the word I clicked on.
It does not matter which search engine the browser is using whether it is Google, Bing or any other.
Mod edit: Added merged to the topic title, Captainsticks.
Hi,
We will investigate the case and find a fix as soon as possible.
Thank you for warning.
Regards,
CID v38.0.5
OS Windows 10 Pro
Security Webroot
Someone else described this problem 2 mos. ago[see original post at below]…Is there still no fix/answer? It is annoying enough to be a deal breaker for me. I Like CID, but this is to frustrating. I have tried with add-ons disabled/security software disabled/uninstalling CID,reinstall CID/reset search engines to default. Occurs w/ search settings set for Google-show search suggestions checked & Google Default-show search suggestion checked. Works correctly in firefox/cyberfox?
