Saving Virus/Spyware scan results??

Good morning,

I am using a Compaq Presario AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3300+, 2411MHz/1.93 GBs RAM, running Windows Xp Home, SP3., with IE7 and have Comodo 3.0.25.378 installed as my firewall with Avast as my Anti-virus program along with other spyware detecting programs.

Is it possible to save the results of the Comodo Virus/Spyware Scans? If so, how?

Thanks and regards,

Hello 2harts, Welcome back
How’s life treating you??

Well really, The scanner inside of CFP3 isn’t really one that you should rely on - It’s mainly just to use before you install it. I do not think it provides a log of this scanning (I can’t check right now As I’m not using CFP3) As you said you have avast! I wouldn’t really worry about it - Avast! is a pretty good scanner in both virus and spyware

CIS = Comodo Internet Security will soon be released, They are hoping within the next couple of weeks. It’s currently in testing and is very good! it even has better performance than the version your using now.

CIS includes : Firewall, Defense+ and Antivirus\Spyware. The instaler is very flexible; You can install Just firewall, or just antivirus or both = CIS.

I hope that I’ve been some help to you, Take care

Morning Kyle,

Life is great … I woke up this morning so everything else is just water over the dam… lol

I appreciate your fast response as usual and your recommendations as well on how to use the Comodo Virus/Spyware scan feature.

When this new CFP Internet Security program comes out will it take the place of anti-virus programs like Avast or will it be used as a supplement?

Thanks and regards,

Well that is totally up to you how you use it, You can install comodo without the antivirus if you want and still use avast!

If you feel comfortable with comodo, then yes it can replace avast! It’s all up to your preference.

In theory, It’s not good to use 2 av’s at the same time… It often causes conflicts as they fight over the same job… So it would be best for either one or the other.
With either Comodo or avast! you can turn off their on access scanning… so then you can scan with them both at different times.

You’re very much welcome  I enjoy helping you

Hi Kyle,

Right now I am leaning towards staying with the Comodo firewall and keeping Avast for my anti-virus until I see how the Comodo IS ‘pans out’ in the real world.

Comodo has proven to be a first class firewall for me but at the same time Avast has given me excellent anti-virus protection and support.

As always I appreciate your comments and recommendations.

Have a great day!

Thanks and regards,

Ok no problem! I totally understand.
You’re welcome, Cya!
