Sandbox not available in v5.8

I have updated all my PC’s to v5.8.213334. 1 is running Win 7 32 bit, 2 are running Win 7 64 bit, and 1 is running Win Vista 32 bit.

On the previous version, when the sandbox was activated, the right click context menu offered the option to run a file in the sandbox. That is no longer available. Why?

Despite Defense + being set to Clean PC and the Sandbox checked as enabled, when I try to run anything in the sandbox from the option under the Defense Plus tab of the program itself it tells me that the sandbox is not enabled and asks me to activate it …but according to the program it IS enabled.

This situation is identical on all 4 machines leading me to believe the issue is with CIS and not an incompatibility with any of the PC’s configurations.

Incidentally, all 3 Win 7 based machines have MBAM installed while the Vista based machine has both Spyware Blaster and Spybot S&D installed. I doubt they are the cause of the problem because CIS v5.5 had no trouble running alongside these anti-spyware programs.

Is there something I need to do to get the sandbox to work or is this a known bug in the current release please?

I have it still here (XP Pro SP3)

See if others report missing on 7 & if so report as a bug/issue

By right clicking on the systray icon and selecting Configuration I was able to choose Internet Security (old) and that made it work again. I still find it strange that it is not available for new users.

I did a clean install on Win XP SP3 and everything is as it has always been.

Well I don’t have XP SP3 so I can’t but thanks for the feedback in any event.
