Sandbox install did not go well...won't run. How to fix or move app out of box?

Hi all,

One of my programs has apparently been sandboxed, which is supposed to be a seamless operation as I understand it, but for some reason, it apparently blocked the creation of all shortcuts and start menu items, so I had no way to find it or start it.

After some digging, I found out that it had been sandboxed, so I thought I would try creating a shortcut from the sandbox, but I get ‘Windows cannot run’ errors for that.

So I don’t know what went wrong here.

I then tried opening the blocked application list and found the two exe files in there. So I unblocked them, but that did not work. I also found them in the trusted files list as ‘unrecog’ and marked them as trusted (I also submitted them while I was at it).

What is the fix for this, and, lastly, is there a way to physically move apps out of the sandbox and to a normal install location, and have it look and function as a normal install? Or, is the only option for that to turn off the sandbox temporarily and reinstall the program?

If a reinstall is the only option, how do I properly remove the sandboxed install from VTroot so it doesn’t interfere?

Any help is appreciated!

You need to reset the sandbox using reset the containment task and re-install application making sure it is running outside the containment.

Thanks for the help.
