I am new to COMODO and am getting an alert that cssupdat.exe is trying to make a temp file and is not recognized by COMODO. My Defense+ events tell me it is a COMODO product. I am confused as to why COMODO does not recognize this. Is it COMODO or an imposter virus?

It is nothing to worry about. It is just Comodo safe surf updater doing its thing. It creates temporary files in the process. Although Comodo has a big white list of known programs it can’t cover all of course. Usually names for tmp files are pretty random. It is nothing to worry about.
