Hello,
I am using the latest Commodo Firewall on an Acer SA80 with XP Home Edition SP3. I’ve recently noticed that when two user on logged on, one or the other will have the Commodo Icon with the red circle and slash through it. Is this indicating that there is a failure in my firewall protection? I have to reboot to get the icon to clear. When I use the Diagnostics provided by Commodo it states that Commodo is functioning properly and there is no problem, even though i have the mentioned red circle.
Can anyone explain the problem or how to prevent it. I like Commodo but my second user “wife” doesn’t notice things like this and I can’t trust the protection. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No ideas on this issue. Did I miss something? Still have the problem. Please assist, thanx

I share our PC with my grown up daughter, we both have seperate admin accounts and I get the same Comodo icon in her task bar as I do in mine so you probably should as well. Do you log off or just switch accounts when you use the PC. We both log off.
Hello Bluesjunior,
Currently my account is an admin and my wife’s is not. Normally notice it when we are both logged on and just switch users. That any help?? Thanks for the reply.

Is no one willing to assist, or is the answer stupidly easy and I already should know? Help!!

Sorry Glennc7000,
We normally log off it is seldom that we just switch users but I have never experienced your problem and my daughter has never mentioned it. As I do the security stuff for both accounts I sometimes just switch user but get the normal white shield icon on both accounts. A few years back when I used Comodo 2.4 and my daughter had a limited account we had some sort of problem signing in and out. If I remember correctly the following article from MSN sorted it out.
Haven’t explained the previous post very well. I think we had to switch it off as it was causing problems with Comodo. After that I also had something called “User Hive Profile” installed but can’t remember where I got it from or in fact if it was linked. I just remember that it made it easier to operate multi accounts on a shared PC. It was a long time ago but maybe one of the mods will recall. As I remember it was a known topic at the time.
Another solution would be to make your wifes account up to admin.
Thanks for the response bluesjunior. I can’t see anyway to change the fast switching which is standard on the XP Home. Afraid to make wife an admin. Will just have to wait for another shot at it. Thanks for giving it a try.
