Run Thunderbird In Sandbox

Hi

Can someone explain whether is possible to sandbox Thunderbird and retain both sent and received mail in the none sandboxed environment. Much in the same way as can be done with Sandboxie. In other words can CIS 6 sandbox have “direct” access to mail folders?

Yes, you could set up an exclusion. However, in the case of an email propagating worm, excluding your mail folder could be a security risk.
