Roboform Toolbar

I’m running CID 22.0.0.1, Windows 8 Pro 64 bit- no virus problems. I’m using Roboform 7.9.0. RB Toolbar extension (add-on) is missing from Add-ons, Extensions so the RB toolbar appears when I use CID but the Toolbar at top is black & I can’t read the text. The problem is because of the missing RB Toolbar Extension. Please help. Thank you.

I sent this Email back on Sept. 12th but have not received any response (I was running CID 22 and an earlier RB version at that time.) Looking around the net there are many people having the same problem. Would greatly appreciate a resolution or at least a workaround for this problem. love to keep using CID but it’s getting more difficult to read the RB Toolbar- my eyes are not so good anymore. Thank you.

I’m running CID 25.0.0.1, Windows 8 Pro 64 bit- no virus problems. I’m using Roboform 7.9.25 The RB Toolbar extension (add-on) is missing from Add-ons, Extensions so the RB toolbar appears when I use CID but the Toolbar at top is black & I can’t read the text. Hello,

You mention that the extension is not listed in the Add-ons manager

and

so it seems there are two issues.

The first issue is related to the way the add-on is installed. Roboform is installed as a third party application and its add-on is installed to a location specific to Mozilla Firefox. Even if we changed IceDragon so that it reads the add-on data from the default location used by Firefox, Roboform would not add the extension there unless Firefox is already installed on the system.
When Firefox is installed, Roboform uses the following registry location to set the extension details: HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions. To make IceDragon detect the extension correctly you have to create the following registry location: HKLM\Software\Comodo\IceDragon\Extensions and add the corresponding value from Firefox. When you launch IceDragon the next time it will load the Roboform add-on (it should also be present in the Add-ons manager).

The real solution for this issue would be to ask the Roboform developers to include IceDragon support into their application. This has been done in the past for CCleaner.

The second issue, the one with the toolbar color, is an IceDragon interface problem. We’ll investigate and change the color for installed toolbars to a lighter gray in a future update. As a workaround, you can install a persona/theme in IceDragon to improve the contrast between the text and the toolbar color.

Please let me know if I’ve assessed the issue correctly and provided you with a useful response.

Regards.

according to your explain, I added the registration key,[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Comodo\IceDragon\Extensions],and it worked!
the toolbar color is darker and i hide it.
