Restore Process Extremely Slow

I am currently backing up about 100GB of data, mostly Microsoft Office Documents and some pictures. The backup process itself runs very well, clocking in around 3 hours instead of the 10+ it took under Windows Server Backup utility.

The problem is the restore process of just a single Word document takes over an hour! Any ideas?
Have tried no compression, medium, high compression, no encryption, encryption, etc. Current restore of two Word documents is estimating to take 3 hours!

Specs:
Comodo Backup 2.2.127000.12
Comodo Antivirus 3.13.121240.574

Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit
Quad Core Xeon E5506 2.13GHz
4GB
480GB RAID 5 (4 HDs at 160GB each)

Hi

The reason it takes so long is because archive size is big and needs to be read before restoring.
We will improve the restore process in a future release.

That explains it! Thank you for the response, and I look forward to the update. I too am experiencing the schedule errors reported elsewhere on this forum.

By the way, does anyone know if the slow restore could be mitigated by breaking up the backup file into smaller files by using the “Split Backup” feature?

No.
This will not change the amount of time necessary for recovery.
