Restore Problems

I have done a disk, partitions and MBR (full) type backup of one disk(not system disk).
I then format the disk.
When i try to mount the image i receive a “an error occured” message.
When i try to restore i receive the messages shown in the screens in attach.
I have 240 Gb of information that i need and cannot access because i trust Comodo Backup and now i am crying.

Is there any solution to solve this problem.

Hey and warm welcome to comodo forums!

I am sorry to hear that you have problems with CB.

Could you tell me if what step four is?

I will make a backup and try to reproduce the problem on a Virtual machine.

Hi

This is a GUI issue and it will be fixed in next release.
You can use the following command line:

“C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO BackUp\CBU.exe” /restore_operation /backupfiledestination “<full .cbu file path>” /destinationtype 1 /restorelocation disk0

Replace the red words with the proper ones!
disk0 represents the destination of the restore process and it has the same index as in Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Computer Management → Disk Management. In you case it might be other (disk1, disk2… etc).

Thanks

Hi again

I have done procedure and have receive the screen in attach.
I also try to create a dump.cbu file but unsucessfuly .

Error code 97 indicates that restore location is not valid.
Please check again if you used the correct restore destination. (DiskX where X must match the number of the disk in Computer Management → Disk Management).

Thanks

Hi

The command was correct.

I have succeed to do the restore with the following action:

-Mount another fix disk on the pc.
-Copy the cbu file from nas to the local disk
-do the restore with the dos command (i tried first within the application with no success)

So i have my problem solved but Comodo still have a problem to solve.
