[Resolved]cfp 5.3 does not accept the single IP address 0.0.0.0

CFP 5.3 does not accept the single IP address 0.0.0.0 in network zones or application rules.

Earlier versions (including 5.0, 4.x and 3.x) don’t have this problem.

How to reproduce: try to include the 0.0.0.0 address in a network zone or as an incoming or outgoing address in an application rule.

(Sorry for not following the bug report format but this is a very easily reproducible bug)

Can you please explain what you are trying to achieve?
Only valid reason to use this is for blocking DHCP traffic as that would send with source 0.0.0.0.

Precisely. Or to create a rule to the 255.255.255.255 broadcast specific to DHCP which should only be valid from 0.0.0.0

As I’ve said Comodo up to 5.0 (and other advanced firewalls) doesn’t have a problem with this address: it can be assigned in the network zones and in application rules as well.

Comodo 5.3 erroneously considers 0.0.0.0 an invalid address.
