Replacing alert sound triggers false update notice

When I replace the horrible ‘alert.wav’ sound in C:\Program Files\Comodo\COMODO Internet Security\sounds, Comodo lies and says an update is available:

http://cdn.download.comodo.com/cis/download/updates/release/inis_3000/release_notes.html

I believe this is intended behavior. CIS realizes that one of its files has been altered, and therefore wants to fix itself by connecting to the server and re-downloading the file. That’s why you get the update notification. Therefore, this does not seem to be a bug.

However, I do agree with you that users should be able to use their own sound. A related Wish has been submitted here. However, I do not believe that a Wish for users to be able to just insert their own sound has yet been submitted. Please feel free to create a new Wish Request for this in this section of the forum. The required format can be found in this post.

I will now move this to Rejected, as it is technically not a bug. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
