Repeated Questions

I’m using CIS 3.9.95478.509, and I keep getting “questioned” about “services.exe” making changes to the registry. When it happens – usually during an install – it may come up 8 - 10 times i sucession.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to set a default “Yes”, or any special "guidelines.

Is there?

Hi. The easiest way to prevent these messages when installing something is to put D+ into ‘Installation Mode’ You can do this one of two ways. From the summary screen. or when you get the first pop-up select Installer.

If you mean when I have the option of Installation Mode, I do select that.

I seems that that mode doesn’t “cover” writing to the registry however.

I have had this before and found that it was best to again put a tick in the “treat as installer/updater” box rather than click allow.

Yeah, that’s what I do…It would be nice to have an overall release for some items…

With services.exe I go alert by alert. If I understand things correctly any program can call services.exe.

I think any program can…that would be fine, if it were just once per install of some program – but it can be several – and that’s in Install Mode…

Ah well…
