Reinstalling 3.0.2.5: "This is an old version..etc" [Resolved]

I uninstalled and reinstalled 3.0.2.5 and I get the notification that it is an older version and that I should get a newer version. So,I tried some stuff first.

I tried the uninstall batch file that floats around the forums. I removed keys in the services parts of the registry: cmdagent, cmdguard, cmdhelp and inspect. I used autoruns to make sure none of these things were left in the start up department

Does anybody have some more tips for me?

When I do a registry search with the term comodo I find some keys with references to Comodo of which I don’t know what to remove or not.

Can anybody tell how to handle the following entries:

I also find a few Legacy references to cmdagent, cmdhelp and cmdguard. Usually they can’t be deleted so I wil leave them out of it now.

I had the same problem as you and one of the tips in another forum helped me install Alpha 2 again.

Just set the date back (in my case back to the date when I previously installed Alpha 2).

That seems to help with the Old version problem.

Thx much. That did the trick for me as well.
